Kuettel claims first place
Andreas Kuettel wins in Kupio and claims first place in the overall standings
Kuettel took the lead already in the first round after he jumped 132 meters. But Thomas Morgenstern still put the swiss under pressure with 131 meters.
In the second round Morgenstern managed 129,5 meters. Kuettels second jump landed a half meter behind the austrian, but it was enough to take the win.
He won with 273,3 points. Thomas Mogenstern came second with 271,9 points, while Adam Malysz from Poland came third with 263,5 points.
This victory puts Kuettel in first place in the overall Nordic Tournament standings, ahead of Janne Happonen, who won in Lahti. Jacub Janda is third, Thomas Morgenstern fourth and Michael Uhrmann fifth.
Nordic Tournament will continue on friday with its next competition in the old olympic hill at Lillehammer in Norway. |
